Director of Policy and Regulatory Affairs – National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA®)

Reema is the director of policy and regulatory affairs at NCPA. In this capacity, she is responsible for drafting regulatory comment letters, researching and analyzing regulatory and legislative actions at the federal level, and preparing actionable guidance for NCPA members on how such developments apply to their pharmacy practice. Reema also supports the Government Affairs Department in determining public policy initiatives.

Prior to joining NCPA in 2018, Reema was a healthcare attorney at a health law firm in Washington, D.C., where she represented hospitals and health systems in obtaining reimbursement and appealing large claim denials from Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurers. She also worked to ensure her clients were in compliance with various healthcare laws and regulations.

Reema has a Juris Doctor degree from American University Washington College of Law and a Bachelor of Science degree in criminology, law, and society from George Mason University.
